Christoph Hofinger grew up in Innsbruck and studied German language and literature at the University of Vienna and sociology at the IHS. Together with Günther Ogris, he has headed the SORA Institute (www.sora.at) since 1996. Christoph Hofinger and the SORA election team have been conducting election projections and analyses for ORF and foreign media for almost 30 years. In addition to social science foci such as migration and labor market research (including for the Arbeitsklima Index, which has been conducted on behalf of AK OÖ since 1997), Hofinger specializes in the field of political emotions and public language (framing and narratives). Josef Klein is a rhetoric expert and author of standard works on political communication: Politik und Rhetorik 2019, Grundlagen der Politolinguistik 2014, Politische Semantik 1989. Currently, his research focus is on the importance of emotions for effective political framing. As a scientific framing consultant, he participated in Angela Merkel’s most successful election campaign in 2013 (41.5% of the vote), among others. He appears in numerous media outlets as a commentator on political rhetoric. Klein also has practical experience with public communication as a member of the Bundestag and as a university president.
